I RISE

Promo, Art, and The Not Nano Result

Hiya

It has been…*checks*…a very long time. Partly because this year has SUCKED in so many ways, and partly because I’ve been trying to reconnect with my creativity. I worked on that by using tiny little story seeds to write tiny little twitter ficlet things during November. It wasn’t serious, and it wasn’t a crushing burden, but it did work.

In two week's time, King of the Hollow Dark hits shelves, both virtual and real, so I'm pretty excited about that. If you want to give yourself a present, then you should. Because you're worth it.

And if you could add it to your goodreads shelves, I'd really appreciate that.

I did not finish nananano, but that's perfectly ok. I did it only as an exercise to jumpstart my creative brain, and it seems to have done exactly that. I've made art, started a new novel, worked on proofreading for clients, subbed a completed novel to a small press, and promised myself I would stop running myself and my work down.

And I'm pretty proud of that.

What sort of things did you achieve in November? They don't have to be huge, just things you are proud of or happy about.
