In which I talk about ME a whole lot

And writing and editing and BEAUTIFUL BOOKS

It’s been several weeks since Bones Like Bridges came out, and since then I’ve been working on copy-edits for an SF novel by the wonderful Suzanne van Rooyen and loving every minute of it.*

I’ve also had two great interviews from the wonderful folk at Before We Go Blog, and The Fantasy Hive.

I had an intense and interesting chat with Ryan Howse at Before We Go, about monsters and body horror and how water gets into everything, and it reminded me how fun it is to chat with someone who really gets your work.

And I took part in The Fantasy Hive’s #WomenInSFF spotlight series, which also meant I got to mention the writers who shaped me, and how much I regret being too scared of Tanith Lee to say hi.

The wonderful (and sadly defunct) Shimmer Magazine has released their Best Of collection, and I am honoured to be a small part of it.

My contributor’s copy is on its way to me, and as soon as I have buy details I’ll let you know because

a) LOOK AT THOSE WRITERS

and

b) DAT COVER

And in newest! and exciting! stuff, I sold the shortest story I have ever written (100 words). I am super-excited about the project, so I’ll let you know more when I can.
